Wrapping Presents With A Ferret .... Thankyou Michelle

1. Clear large space on table for wrapping present.

2. Remove Ferret from table.

3. Go to closet and collect bag in which present is contained, and shut door.

4. Open door and remove ferret from closet.

5. Go to cupboard and retrieve rolls of wrapping paper.

6. Go back and remove ferret from cupboard.

7. Go to drawer, and collect transparent sticky tape, ribbons, scissors, labels, etc. . .

8. Lay out presents and wrapping materials on table, to enable wrapping strategy to be formed.

9. Go back to drawer to get string, remove ferret that has been in the drawer since last visit and collect string.

10. Remove present from paper bag.

11. Remove ferret from paper bag.

12. Open box to check present, remove ferret from box, replace present.

13. Lay out paper to enable cutting to size.

14. Try and smooth out paper, realize ferret is underneath and remove ferret.

15. Cut the paper to size, keeping the cutting line straight.

16. Make 'swishing' motion at ferret to keep it away from scissors while cutting.

17. Throw away first sheet as ferret chased the scissors, and tore the paper.

18. Chase ferret to discard mouthful of paper.

19. Cut second sheet of paper to size - by putting ferret in the paper bag the present came in.

20. Place present on paper.

21. Remove ferret from paper.

22. Lift up edges of paper to seal in present. Wonder why edges don't reach. Realize ferret is between present and paper. Remove ferret.

23. Place object on paper, to hold in place while tearing transparent sticky tape.

24. Spend 20 minutes carefully trying to remove transparent sticky tape from ferret with pair of nail scissors.

25. Seal paper with sticky tape, making corners as neat as possible.

26. Look for roll of ribbon. Chase ferret down hall in order to retrieve ribbon.

27. Try to wrap present with ribbon in a two-directional turn.

28. Re-roll ribbon and remove paper, which is now torn due to ferret's enthusiastic ribbon chase.

29. Repeat steps 13-24 until you reach last sheet of paper.

30. Decide to skip steps 13-18 in order to save time and reduce risk of losing last sheet of paper. Retrieve old cardboard box that is the right size for sheet of paper.

31. Put present in box, and tie down with string.

32. Remove string, open box and remove ferret.

33. Put all packing materials in bag with present and head for locked room.

34. Detach ferret from your sock.

35. Once inside lockable room, lock door and start to relay out paper and materials.

36. Remove ferret from box, unlock door, put ferret outside door, close and relock.

37. Repeat previous step as often as is necessary (until you can hear ferret from outside door)

38. Lay out last sheet of paper. (This will be difficult in the small area of the toilet, but do your best)

39. Discover ferret has already torn paper. Unlock door go out and hunt through various cupboards, looking for sheet of last year's paper. Remember that you haven't got any left because ferret helped with this last year as well.

40. Return to lockable room, lock door, and sit on toilet and try to make torn sheet of paper look presentable.

41. Seal box, wrap with paper and repair by very carefully sealing with sticky tape. Tie up with ribbon and decorate with bows to hide worst areas.

42. Label. Sit back and admire your handy-work, congratulate yourself on completing a difficult job.

43. Unlock door, and go to kitchen to make drink and feed ferret.

44. Spend 15 minutes looking for ferret until coming to obvious conclusion ....

45. Unwrap present, untie box and remove ferret!

46. Go to store and buy a gift bag.

Cleaning a Ferrets ears
1: Scruff ferret firmly. Cradle its head on your elbow, just as if you were giving baby a bottle. Coo confidently, " That's a nice ferret."
Apply warmed ear drops into its ears, have a q tip handy to clean out the wax.

2: Retrieve ferret from top of lamp and q tip from under sofa.

3: Follow same procedure as in 1, but hold ferrets front paws down with left hand and back paws down with elbow of right arm.
Gently poke a q tip into its ear with right index finger and thumb.

4: Retrieve ferret from under bed. Get new q tip from medicine cabinet. (Resist impulse to get new ferret.)

5: Warm up the ear cleaning solution again.

6: Again proceed as in 1, except when you have ferret firmly cradled in bottle-feeding position, sit down on edge of chair, fold your torso over ferret, bring your right hand over your left elbow, grab ferrets ear by opening the ear canal and drop the ear drops in - quickly, while your head is down by your knees, you won't be able to see what you are doing.
That's just as well.

7: Leave ferret hanging on drapes. LeaA q tip in your hair, go wash out your mouth, since when the ferret shook its head you got a mouth full of ferret ear wax.

8: Warm up the ear cleaning solution again.

9: If you're a woman, have a good cry. If you're a man, have a good cry.

10: Now, pull yourself together. Who's the boss here anyway? Retrieve ferret, q tip and ear cleaning solution. Assuming position 1, say sternly, " Who's the boss here anyway?"
Hold ferrets ear, take q tip and .....Ooops!

11: The ear cleaning solution isn't warm enough, re heat.

12: While the solution is warming up, you now have time to think This isn't working, is it? Collapse and think. Aha! Those flashing teeth are causing the chaos.

13: Crawl to linen closet. Drag back large beach towel. Spread towel on floor.

14: Reheat ear cleaning solution.

15: Retrieve ferret from under bed and get another q tip from the medicine cabinet.

16: Spread ferret on towel near one end with its head over long edge.

17: Flatten ferrets front and back legs over its stomach. (Resist impulse to flatten ferret.)

18: Roll ferret in towel. Work fast, time and ferrets wait for no man . or woman.

19: Resume position l. Rotate your left hand to ferrets head. Press its ear like opening the petals of a snapdragon.

20: Get spouse to drive you to emergency room; sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes q tip remnants from right eye, washes out ear cleaning solution from nose and ferret ear wax from mouth.

21: Arrange for vet to make a house call.
